Graffiti around the globe part II (part I here)
These are all from Chile, some from Santiago and others from Valparaiso. Valparaiso "Valpo" is renowned for its colorful hills full of graffitis and murals. More from Valpo to come later.
Although Valpo has a highly inspiring artistic scene, I must mention that it's notoriously dangerous(but not more than any other big cities, I think) so I had to deal with locals constantly warning me, "what are you doing here with that camera? you shouldn't be here, it's dangerous." I spent one new year's eve here and it was delightfully insane. I think the best graffiti usually exist within rough neighborhoods-many of my pics are from there-so you have to take a risk to find them.
Since I have so many graffiti/mural pics from my travels, I'm only posting the best of the best(purely subjective)-crème de la crème if you will-so check out my flickr for others.
*I know there is a difference between graffiti and mural but in some neighborhoods, it’s hard to tell because of low enforcement against vandalism so I’m grouping them together unless it’s really obvious.
** Si alguien puede identificar el artista, avisame por favor.
